A property with a large sloping site surrounded by nature located in one the most sought-after suburbs in New Plymouth was the perfect place to build a new family home.

Delaco was tasked to design a new home that celebrated the surrounding nature and to create a family home that worked with the site.

Careful consideration of the orientation of the home was essential in order to create a warm and spacious home. It became clear during the early stages of the project that the house would need to sit elevated amongst the tree line to achieve this.

Framed entrance stairs invite you up towards the house leading you into the house where you can see through to the other side and out towards the outdoor living area. The outdoor living area has been designed as the central part of the home with the open plan living and master suite wrapping around the deck, taking advantage of the west facing aspect and the view out over the trees.
